Persia, The Great Seljuk Empire, Khorasan 12th – 13th century. Ancient Islamic incised red patinated bronze vase with wide footed base embossed and incised vine like scrolling decoration. The vase tapers inward before taking shape into a bulbous body and flared lip. The body of the vase with incised decoration filled with white or previously colored enamel and floral like decoration. The upper sections with light embossing and some loss to linear detailing, an embossed ring before a wipe tapped mouth that is incised to the interior. Size 9 3/8" H x 5 1/2" W

Condition: illegible old inventory number in white and red that appears to be three letter and three numbers.
