Southeast Asia, Indonesia, Timor Island, late 19th to mid-20th century. Carefully incised and carved from a section of buffalo horn, this spoon represents incredible attention to detail and craftsmanship. Slightly curved from the handle to the ovoid bowl, with a rectangular bird finial. Lovely floral incised design to between sections of anthropomorphic designs. The complex design is captured both on the front and the reverse of the spoon mirroring it throughout. Size 8" L
Condition: Fine patina throughout with no signs of restoration. Some wear commensurate with age.
