Greater Nicoya, circa 500 AD-800 AD. Imposing pottery warrior depicted with hands held at waist, a wide mouthed smile bearing teeth, almond slit eyes. Slits to shoulders and knees, as he sits on a single pegged stool. Size 10 1/4" H x 6 3/4" W
ex-collection of Stanley L. Kaufman, a Harvard educated lawyer who specialized in bringing suits on behalf of corporations’ disgruntled stockholders, died in 1993 at the age of 81. He was the founder and partner of his law firm Kaufmann & Kirby.
Condition: Some wear and loss to surface, loss to right knee cross.
