Pre-Columbian, West Mexico, Chinesco pottery dog. White slipped clay standing pottery dog, in an unusual form with a puppy standing on its back. Each dog is depicted with raised heads and tails wagging in the air, long ears and short pointed snouts. Size 3 1/2" H x 3 1/2" W
ex-Don Williams collection, Laurel Canyon, California, USA, formed in the 1970’s to 1980’s.. ex-Private California collector, Authenticity Guaranteed by Scollard Auctions.
Condition: Two legs on the larger dog have been restored, restoration to the smaller dogs tail, and one ear.
