Exceptional heavy bronze Indian seated Saraswati in bronze, 19th century or earlier. The statue seated with right leg completely crossed over. The Bodhisattva has four arms posed to hold a now absent stringed instrument known as the veena. She is adorned with necklaces, armbands and bracelets below an ornate headdress. Saraswati, manifested as a beautiful woman, is the goddess of music, art and wisdom. Size 19 1/2" H x 13" W, weight 45lbs, 5 ounces
