Chinse monochrome glazed pomegranate shaped vase, narrow squat neck, with wide lipped narrow opening. Also known as Shiliuzun, the term is taken from the form of a pomegranate, the vase inherited the fruit’s auspicious meaning as a symbol of happiness and fertility. Four character mark to base. Size 7 1/2" H x 7 1/2" W
Condition: Some soiling to surface as shown, minor pitting throughout. No obvious signs of restoration or repairs.
