Chinese casting of Yunchang on horseback charging into battle with his traditional large sword in is right hand as he hangs tight to the reigns with his left. Guan Gong Yu and his noble steed are heavily decorated in armor and dress to show their high status. Guan Yu, courtesy name Yunchang, was a Chinese military general serving under the warlord Liu Bei during the late Eastern Han dynasty of China. Size 10 1/2" H x 8 1/2" W, mounted on custom stand.
Condition: Losses and soiling throughout, no obvious signs of restoration or repair.
