West Africa, Cameroon, similar to Bamileke late 20th century. Carved from a single section of wood with linear details to the mouth acting as teeth, square pierced eyes, and a protruding button to the center of the forehead. Size 13" H
Collected prior to 2008, ex-Lacy Gallery (Vanna & Lee Lacy collection), Los Angeles CA. Lacy Gallery was founded upon six decades of collecting ethnographic and fine art. Lee Lacy was a distinguished Hollywood producer of iconic TV series and commercials.
Condition: Wear and losses commensurate with age.
