Uniquely carved African standing female figure. Primitive in nature but shows sumptuous carving with tribal engraved design along the body. She wears a incised loin cloth, breasts and belly exposed with protruding belly button. Her hair is almost braided and pulled back. Size 27 1/2" H on included custom metal base.
Collected prior to 2008, ex-Lacy Gallery (Vanna & Lee Lacy collection), Los Angeles CA. Lacy Gallery was founded upon six decades of collecting ethnographic and fine art. Lee Lacy was a distinguished Hollywood producer of iconic TV series and commercials.
Condition: Old loss to right breast and left foot.
