Uniquely carved in a much more human form that normal, the figure sits with knees to chest, and hand on his thighs. His mouth is open, with almond eyes, and bell shaped nose. The Bulul is covered in thick patina giving it the dark coloring throughout. Size 9 1/2" H
Collected prior to 2008, ex-Lacy Gallery (Vanna & Lee Lacy collection), Los Angeles CA. Lacy Gallery was founded upon six decades of collecting ethnographic and fine art. Lee Lacy was a distinguished Hollywood producer of iconic TV series and commercials.
Condition: Split to wood in areas, some areas of patina worn from handling and moving.
