Engraved Indian gilt copper dahl shield, circa 1850. An early Dahl with a well stippled and engraved design of nobles or court figures seated in landscape with heavily patterned scrolling and five cask brass rosettes. Reverse with an old leather grip probably original with an obliterated museum inventory number. Size 13 3/4" W
