Mechanical coin banks gained popularity in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, particularly in the United States and Europe. They were typically constructed of painted cast iron, which allowed for intricate and detailed designs. Many mechanical banks were produced as promotional items by banks or businesses and remain collectable to this day. Size of larger 8 1/2" L
