Fine working condition William Tell Mechanical bank in original paint and excellent condition. William Tell is seen in full colonial dress shooting an apple off the head of his son. William was associated during the 19th century with rebellion and fighting against tyranny in Europe. His symbolism inspired many world leaders from Mexico to Switzerland and is still considered a symbol of freedom and resistance. None of his acts more famous than the often depicted William Tell’s apple-shot depicted in this pristine mechanical bank.
Marked to the underside (PATENTED JUNE 23RD 1896) still works, 10 1/4" L x 7 3/4" H
