Irish Engraving of The Arms & Seals of Cities & borough Towns by William Jackson circa 1714. Titled (ye Arms or Common Seals of ye Cities & Borough Towns in Warwickshire, Westmoreland, Wiltshire, Worcestershire, Yorkshire, the Cinque-Ports & Wales) then proceeds to list no less than 54 town arms and seals with an in-depth historical description of each and their populations. The entire engraving is dedicated at the base and reads (To the Right Honorable John L. Bronnlone Baron Charleville de Viscount Tyrconnel in ye Kingdom of Ireland, This sheet is humbly dedicated by your lordships m. obliged and humble ferv. William Jackson).
Note a similar example is referenced as in the collection of The British Library, St. Pancras, and a similar monograph is in the collection of Oxford University. 28 1/4" H x 21" W
Condition: stain and wear consistent with age and use
