Dagger with red velvet covered scabbard. Blade with a triple fuller, double edged with a fine foliage mark to the ricasso, the bone handle with died black grip, original hardware with later velvet to scabbard.
Kindjal or Kinjal served both as a weapon and as a symbol of social status and cultural identity. It was often worn by men as part of their traditional dress and was considered a symbol of honor and bravery. Size overall 21 1/4" L, blade 14 1/2" L
Condition: Wear commensurate with age and use, handle shows signs of stable fissures throughout.
