Antique traveling shrine Buddha carved in fruit or boxwood with cobalt blue coloring to his head. Buddha is seated atop a double lotus base heavily gilded red lacquer and below a series of serpent dragon and wave like formations in carved openwork wood. Under base some Japanese writing now illegible. 8" H x 4 3/4" W
