Southeast Asia / Oceania, Indonesia, Balinese Indonesian 19th-20th century gilt demon figure kris handle of a fine lacquered red wood with remnants of gilding all over depicting the demon god with and unsheathed double ended double edged weapon while in a semi-prone battle ready position with long cape and battle attire.
One of the most recognizable features of the kris is its unique and often ornate handle design. The handle, also known as the (Hulu), can carry significant cultural and symbolic meaning. Size 5 1/2" H
