Rare turbaned pulwar sword with sheath, eastern Iranian ethnic group that now resides in Northwestern Pakistan and Eastern Afghanistan, Pashtun/Pashtuns/Pathans peoples 19th c. or earlier with (strong rattle) in pommel. The sword so called pulwar or pulouar with a single edged blade that is well polished and remnants of a previously inset mark to the ricasso area. The hollow globular two piece pommel modeled after turbans and helmets is embossed with vertical bands, grip engraved in traditional pattern with downturned animal head quillion. Size 36 3/4" L, blade 28"
