Stunning original cave bear skull with intimidatingly large canines, molars, and incisors. Roaming the world over 2.5 million years ago, this example is incredibly preserved. Measuring just over 20 inches long makes this piece extremely rare as the longest seen in the US was from Romania and measured only 17” long and was heavily restored. Found in Drachenhohle Austria near Minitz which is where many other cave bear fossils have been found. This piece will be accompanied by a certificate of authenticity from the original owner from Europe which includes information on the discovery and finding of the skull. This piece has minor restorations to the rear lower mandible and front palate.
