West Africa, Ghana and Cote D’Ivoire, Akan peoples, Chiefs armlet 20th century. Gold leaf, wood, and brightly colored fibers. A series of many gold leaf covered talismans with the central motif a raised series of square pedestals, flanked by two claw or horns, two geometric shapes, one bottle, and several other unique forms. Size 8 3/4" H, central square 3" H x 2 1/4" W
