Circa 100 BC – 250 AD, depicting a woman kneeling in the birthing position with legs spread and on arched raised toes. She is polychrome painted all over with black, red and cream on dark orange slip. Examples with this much remaining paint are very hard to find and considered rare. Size 7 1/4" H x 4 1/4" W
ex-private San Diego estate of a retired college professor, collected in the 1950’s and 1960’s.
Condition: Excellent condition with no restoration.
