Excellent blackware Chimu canteen circa 1000 – 1200 AD. A thick strap handle arches off the top of the cylindrical spout, making it easy to transport. Body is framed with bands of birds to each side. Size 7 1/2" W x 5" H

ex-old Pasadena, California, USA estate collection, formed in the 1960’s and 1970’s.

Condition: Excellent condition throughout, with minor ancient chips to rim.
