Late period circa 715 to 300 BC. Carved from a piece of cedar wood, this lovely remaining section of an Egyptian mask is a fine example. Incised large almond eyes, slit mouth, with high forehead and headdress. Minor remaining areas of red and white gesso throughout. Size 10 1/4" H x 4 3/4" W, 12 1/2" H on included stand

Condition: Part of a larger section, most gesso is lost, mask has been distressed thorough time with cracks, abrasions and losses.
