Italian, Tournament Gauntlet 16th C. Style, Fine gauntlet after that of King Henry VIII’s that came into use during the Joust and Tourney of the 16th century, the lames of the fingers would completely encapsulate the hand and fist to the wrist and give a locking grip of the lance. This extremely rare example features several hinged hooks to the thumb piece, end of the fingers and the wrist itself. 8" L x 4" W
