Spanish construction of a shield modeled after those of Negroli the great armorers for Philip of Spain. The central motif depicting a chariot rider going into battle surrounded by numerous scenes of the battle ahead. The storming of a castle and tri fleur de Lis flag against mounted knights and warriors on foot. Finely cast with many details still visible, the surrounding boarder with mythical beats and embossed grotesque faces. Size 24" W
