Bronze lock plate signed by Carrier Du Molard (c.1735-83) with’ contiguous flash pan. Steel trigger, hammer, frizzen and frizzen spring. Approximately .60 caliber, 71/8" long, bronze octagonal to round barrel with cannon muzzle which has incised panoplies and scrolls on the top and adjacent sides. Proof marks on the left side of barrel. Silver trigger guard, side plate, butt cap are possibly period replacements. Silver butt cap has a raised plumed helmet in front of a panoply of crossed flags and flowering branches. The initial E is stamped on the reverse side. The oval butt plate depicts a flaming grenade over crossed swords and branches. Silver ramrod pipes with hallmark. Wood ramrod , walnut stock has carved floral decoration.13" L, barrel 7 1/4" L
