Iberian Peninsula, Spanish Miquelet pistols circa 1790-1800. Match pair with octagonal-to-round steel flared barrels with a deep gilded hallmarks showing a crown above "A RAM BU RI", or “A RAM BU RN”. On either side of the barrels are fleur-de-lis, above is cross on stand and beneath swagged floral motif. At the round transition is a carved band with scrolled leaves and gilt flowers. Gilded inlay on center of trigger guard. Engraved steel lock, trigger guard, forestock cap, backstrap and butt plate. Steel belt hangers mounted on the side plates. Dark wood stock. Turned wood ramrods with tapered bone tips. Approximately .50 caliber. Very desirable as a pair. Each 10 1/2" L, barrel 6" L , flared barrel opening .63
