19th century Roman Egyptian style painting, depicting a funerary portrait of and upper class descendent. A very fashionable patron of his time with finely depicted hairstyle, beard and robes. Hidden beneath tempera is canvas affixed to the wood backing, with mineral pigment throughout. Size 13" H x 9 1/4" W

Condition: Surface wear and scratches throughout. Otherwise, impressively preserved.
