Ornate Mexican Ex Voto dated to lower right painted on tin with text to lower section. The painting depicts pilgrim in worship and prayer to the Virgin Mother and Christ Child, the pilgrim is knelt at the base of a great field and fertile land probably in prayer with a single candle to illuminate the soul and offer out prayer to enter the light of God. Inscription reads "Maria Imana Rodriges on February 28th of the same year fell sick of an unknown illness of XXXXX lamentation and (bindose) so serious that she advocated for the Holy Mother to give her a chance…." 14" L x 10" W
Condition: bent, missing paint, as-is condition
