Primarily gold, with red flame ushnisha accents to the outside. The thousand-armed and eleven headed buddha sits atop a lotus base on a shrine. He holds a staff and trident in his hands, as well as lotus buds. Lotus buds symbolize enlightenment and escape from suffering. Size overall 12 1/2" H
One of the most popular devotional deities in Himalayan Buddhism, Avalokiteshvara (the buddha of compassion) appears in many forms, but this eleven-headed, “thousand-armed” form is one of the most popular. The many heads and eyes represent the many ways in which Avalokiteshvara can hear and see.
Condition: multiple repairs, cracks, breaks and other flaws, as-is condition.
