Lovely Chinese lacquer box imitating that of the original Qing Dynasty Royal Lacquer box, which held poem slips composed by Qing Dynasty emperor Qianlong. This beautiful example is covered in various blooming flowers, key fret border, and calligraphy to both the top and bottom of the box. Size 11 " L x 6 3/4" W x 2 3/4" H
Collected prior to 2008, ex-Lacy Gallery (Vanna & Lee Lacy collection), Los Angeles CA. Lacy Gallery was founded upon six decades of collecting ethnographic and fine art. Lee Lacy was a distinguished Hollywood producer of iconic TV series and commercials.
Condition: Crackle to the lacquer from age throughout, else in very good condition.
