Shu Lao holds a peach in his right hand as he smiles leaning against his staff. A deer lays in front of him, and a crane peaks around his arm, cautiously eying the fruit. Cranes and peaches are symbols of longevity and deer were loyal companions of Shu Lao. Size of statue 9 1/2" H, weighs 8lb 3 ounces, custom stand included.
Wong collection, Los Angeles, CA, US, Mr. Wong was a Hong Kong government translator and court interpreter and amassed his collection in Hong Kong during the mid-1900’s-1978.
Condition: As-is condition with minor chip on right shoulder, inclusions throughout.
