Avalokitesvara, "One who looks with unwavering eye, " is the most revered of all Bodhisattva, embodying the compassion of all Buddhas. In this example the buddha holds in tradition a mala (string of prayer beads), a text, and a vessel with flowers. With his other hands he gestures to offer boons, and displays the teaching gesture, providing path to enlightenment. Size 16 1/4" H
Condition: As-is condition with evidence of patina throughout as well as minor surface wear and soiling.
